"Lrusse is Ed Bayling, a Bristol stalwart who's produced dubstep, disco, breaks and downtempo house, sometimes alongside Sam Binga. His latest project, inspired by "planned cities" that never to go to plan, harks back to his I.D. alias with an old-school broken-beat twist. "Scaff" has a syncopated groove and a great piano sample, while "Those Letters" starts out like dub techno before it swoons with lush synths. The highlight, though, is "Crep Check," whose wobbly drums fumble around before falling into an addictive broken beat. Like the not-so-planned city the EP's title refers to, the rhythm feels accidental. But the result is lovely." - Resident Advisor
